Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort
Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort is located on Alad Island, Romblon, just a 10-minute boat ride away from Romblon, the provincial capital. The resort is operated by German national Ronny Oliwka and his wife Charolyn Oliwka. Ronny is a PADI Master Instructor, PADI Tec Deep Instructor, PADI EFR Instructor Trainer and IANTD Tec Cave Diver who crossed over to SDI/TDI in 2024 to combine his technical diving skills into the SDI recreational diving education. Charolyn is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) and PADI Specialty Instructor. They founded and owned Submariner Diving Center in El Nido, Palawan, which is a leading PADI 5-Star IDC Dive Resort. Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort is also certified as an Aqualung Partner Center, offering high standards in scuba diving and education, as well as diving gear branded by Aqualung and Apeks. Not only is the scuba diving equipment of a high standard, but the staff is also highly qualified, adhering to international standards. Outstanding Service
When you scuba dive with us, everything is easy. Upon arrival, simply come to our shop, sit down, and we will take care of the rest. We will carry your equipment to the boat, set it up, and assist you into your scuba unit. After the dive, you won’t need to worry about carrying your kit back to the shop—the team will handle that for you. Aside from the obvious safety issues associated with heavy exertion and lifting after diving, we believe that, as you are on holiday, you should have the hard work done by someone else. We will also rinse your kit at the end of the day. You can have a seat at our bar, relax, enjoy a drink, and our instructor and divemaster team will join you to fill in your logbooks and discuss your day of diving.

You, as the customer, are the most important to us. We do everything to ensure that you have the best time on your vacation in Romblon! The diving here is amazing, and we want to show you the best of what we have. We know you will have the most fun with us because everyone here, from the owners to the boat staff, loves diving and dives regularly. The staff is always laughing and joking with each other and with you, making the boat a fun place to be.
And the fun doesn’t end with diving. There is always someone around for a chat, or you can grab a drink and browse through our fish & critter ID books and dive magazines, or just enjoy our free Starlink Wi-Fi. Our bar is a great place for beer and has a lively happy hour and evening crowd.

Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort began its operation in May 2019 with a team of eight dedicated staff members. We are an authorized Aqualung & Apeks Partner Center, offering only the highest quality gear and equipment. Your air and Nitrox fills are pumped by a Bauer PE300 Nitrox Compressor with a P21 Purification System, ensuring the utmost safety and reliability.
Our consistent reputation is built on our high standards of customer service, professionalism, and dedication to all things diving. Safety has always been our main priority, and our safety record is second to none. To further assure the quality and safety of our services, we conduct regular maintenance on all our equipment, and our staff undergo continuous training to stay updated on the latest diving safety protocols.
The owners, Ronny and Charo, bring a wealth of expertise to the resort, having operated diving resorts in the Philippines since 2007. Ronny is a PADI Master Instructor, an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer, and a PADI TEC Rec Instructor. Charo is a PADI Open Water Scuba and Specialty Instructor and a PADI TEC Rec Diver, ensuring that our team is well-prepared to handle any situation with the highest level of expertise and care.
Our Scuba Boat
“Romblon Fun Divers 1” is a 30ft speedboat powered by a 200HP Evinrude GTec 2 engine. Built with divers in mind, we are proud to say it is one of the fastest and most comfortable dive boats on the island. We will get you to the dive sites as quickly as possible, so you can spend more time in the water! With a maximum capacity of 12 divers, the boat features a large sunroof and comfortable cushions, allowing you to relax during the surface interval while enjoying water, coffee, tea, or a snack.
